1. Protect your skin. Wear sunscreen – Just because the temps are dropping fast doesn’t mean you can forget about your sunscreen. Continue to apply a broad spectrum sunscreen containing at least SPF30 everyday.
2. A balanced diet is key to maintaining healthy, glowing skin – Try to maintain a healthy balanced diet even during the holidays. Binge on plenty of fruits, vegetables and lean proteins.
3. Moisturize, moisturize and then moisturize some more – We can’t emphasize this enough. Our skin needs to stay hydrated especially during the dry fall and winter months. Due to the lack of moisture in the air it’s important to keep our skin moisturized all day. Apply body lotion/creme at least twice a day. Especially on the parts of our body that gets exposed to the elements, our hands and our face.
4. Give your lips some moisture love – Our lips are exposed to the brutal plummeting temperatures all day and night long. Don’t neglect your lips. Always apply a lip balm/ lip moisturizer to avoid chapped lips. Also drink plenty of fluids to keep hydrated. And as a rule of thumb, replace your lip balm every 4-8 weeks to make sure its not a becoming a germ incubator!
