  •  WHAT IS OUR COMPANY POLICY ON RETURNS AND EXCHANGES?

We want you to love what you've ordered! You can return any product(s) for any reason up to 30 days after your purchase. 
If you're interested in returning any products within that time frame, please email us at customerservice@neatskincareny.com with your order number(s) and what you would like to return. Payment for shipping all returns will be the customer's responsibility. 
If you purchased an item your skin didn't absolutely love but want to continue using our collection, we are more than happy to help you find a product that will work better for you. Please don't hesitate to ask for recommendations!

  •  WHAT IS OUR COMPANY POLICY ON CANCELLING ORDERS?

When an order is placed we begin processing immediately, to ensure prompt delivery. We are unable to cancel or change an order once it has been submitted.  Consequently, Neat Skin Care Co. NY is unable to make any changes, including product changes, address changes, or cancellations, once an order has been placed on the Site. You agree to confirm that all of your order information is correct prior to submitting your order.

  • DO OUR PRODUCTS CONTAIN PRESERVATIVES OR OTHER HARSH CHEMICALS?

No formaldehyde, silicone, parabens or BPA plastic is used at Neat Skin Care Co. NY. For our products that have a water-based component we must use a gentle eco-preservative to retard the development of mold & bacteria. 

We use phenoxyethanol in a very low concentration as a preservative because the most accessible alternatives for these types of formulas include parabens, a class of chemicals with demonstrable evidence of potential health risks. Unlike phenoxyethanol which is very safe at low levels. It’s been tested on the skin and eyes and is non-irritating and non-sensitizing at levels of 2.2% or lower while being effective at only 1% concentrations. The European Union and Japan both approve its use up to that 1% level and our formulas fall well below the recommendation at 0.5% or less.

Phenoxyethanol can be found organically in green tea, but the commercial ingredient is synthetically produced in a laboratory creating a “nature identical” chemical. Additionally, phenoxyethanol doesn’t react with other ingredients, air, or light. The stable nature of this eco-preservative makes it extremely effective.
Effective preservatives are vital for ensuring safety.

*NOTE: Phenoxyethanol is included in the Handbook of Green Chemicals and Whole Foods Premium Body Care approved. Developed by a team of scientists, these are the gold standard guidelines in the industry. 

  • WHAT ARE GLYCERYL STEARATE AND PEG-100 STEARATE?

Glyceryl stearate and PEG-100 stearate is a combination of two emulsifying (and emulsion stabilizing) ingredients. Glyceryl stearate is a solid and waxy compound. It is made by reacting glycerine (a soap by-product) with stearic acid (a naturally occurring, vegetable fatty acid). PEG-100 stearate is an off-white, solid ester of polyethylene glycol (a binder and a softener) and stearic acid.

Our manufacturing partners are industry leaders who make sure that all our ingredients do not contain impurities that may be harmful to the skin and overall health. Additionally, our products are produced in small batches for best quality and efficacy. We are committed to following industry good manufacturing practices.

  •  WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF OUR PRODUCTS?

 The average shelf life is 12 months. Unopened products, that are not exposed to heat and high temperatures have a shelf life of approximately one year (although we have some batch samples that are still fresh and safe to use long past the 1 year mark.) We recommend storing our products in a cool dry area under 75 degrees F/ 24 degrees C to preserve their quality.
